The sky was cloudy and windy
Few drops rained here and there
It thundered heavily everywhere
Silently I said, today was predicted

The rains never came, hunger reigns
Diseases continue to guard our lives
Envy flies the highest as arrows tick
Surprised? No! Today was predicted

In a song composed long time ago
Sang by everyone including babies
When you hear the echo of our history
It’s no secret that today was our destiny

It was dug by the novena in 1993
Confirmed by the unsuspecting fingers
Lift your skulls up and see what remains
Feel duped? Never, for this is our vision

An empty stomach in intensive care unit
In dire poverty, silver and gold swindled
A cry for freedom to free from humanity
Nervous? No! Today was well predicted

Now, as she approaches her deathbed
My own life has ruthlessly not been spared
Suffocated by the jaws of death I see dimly
Blame game? No! Today was our prediction.
