Tiwerenge Magazine was founded in 2016 by Aubrey Chinguwo (a short story award winning author and website developer) who has before the development worked in a bank.
As it gains a national reputation for the first Malawian online literature magazine, Tiwerenge is eager to deny Malawian literature continue resting on its laurels.

MEET THE TEAM
Dave Mankhokwe Namusanya
Dave has written prose (fiction and non-fiction) and what passed for poetry. He has interest in all the genres of literature; however, his specific interests are in poetry and prose. He has experience in editing having worked as Arts and Entertainment Editor for Times Group Limited, Consultant textbook editor for CLAIM Publishers and External Proof-reader for CLAIM Publishers. His essays have won both national and international awards (emerging third in the 2015 World Bank Essay Competition for Malawian Young Writers and the African Liberty Essay Writing Competition for Africa University Students in 2012 respectively). He is an alumnus of the Commonwealth Writers Creative Non-Fiction Writing Workshop (for East Africa) which took place in Uganda in 2014. He currently spends his time in the arts as a private literary editor and an arts critic who, in between, writes for his blog at https://namusanya.blogspot.com.
Website Development/Web Editors
Aubrey is a Malawian writer who has published many short stories in Magazines, local newspapers and anthologies. He is among the fifteen African writers featured in the Imagine Africa 500 Anthology (Speculative fiction from Africa). In 2016, he founded the Tiwerenge Online Magazine while he was working in a bank. Based in Malawi’s capital city, Lilongwe, Aubrey studied Information Systems and in the process of working on sample projects acquired incomparable skills in website development and database systems.
Based in Zomba, Malawi, Friday is a young man pursuing Computing and Information Systems at the Polytechnic. He is currently majoring website designing and development, android app programming and computer networking. In his early twenties, Friday, loves working with computers.
